I’M IMALAEL

IMALAEL is the creative identity behind story-driven music and speculative fiction, different forms shaped by the same restless imagination.

I’ve been imagining worlds and carrying melodies in my head for a long time. It feels less like a choice than something wired into how I see and hear things: characters, conflicts, musical ideas and possibilities tend to arrive already asking to take shape.

That instinct currently takes shape in two separate projects. The song cycles trace a single arc from first note to last, beginning with Keepers of the Light. Alongside them, I am writing The Archive of Consequence, a separate science-fiction thriller novel.

And then there is photography. Travelling is an immensely enriching experience: capturing the character of a city or of nature, the beauty of its surroundings, and the emotion of the moment. Taking a family photo is precious because it helps preserve the emotion felt at that moment.
